Decoration ideas to pursue during the lock down

We know the lockdown has been difficult for all of us and there is very little entertainment to keep us sane during this all. But one thing which will surely keep you occupied is indulging in some fun bespoke interiors. Now we know you are probably tired of the same walls around and you can’t even opt for interior design consultancy in such times but who’s stopping you from being a designer yourself? Here are some fun interior design ideas amidst the quarantine:

  • Set up a reading nook

This is one of those fun decorating ideas which you can always be a part of. Setting up a reading nook doesn’t specifically have to be related to interior design makeup, you can simply drag a comfy cushion close to your bookshelf or a window where you find sufficient natural light and get on reading with your favourite cosy blanket. Stay entertained as well as chic.

  • Lighten up the windows

You may think there isn’t much that can be done with the windows but rethink. Windows are one of the most important part of your house and they light up the rooms, in order to block some of that light, you must definitely aim for curtains. Change the curtains and rethink how you can make the space look lively. Add some plants or wind chimes to it – even a dream catcher would work, and the wind will blow it away.

  • Incorporate extra surface

Extra surface area always comes in handy when it comes to organization but a huge question is how to bring that? The answer is simple, all you need is a stool or a table to be placed at the right place. For example, bring in a small stool to your bathroom – near the bathtub and you will be shocked to see the elegance which it has. Or if you have an empty entryway, place a table which will be extremely useful to throw keys at or keep it stacked with hand sanitizer in time of COVID-19.

There are so many other fun projects which you can indulge in, all you have to do is be open to ideas and find inspiration which will motivate you to bring these ideas to life. Don’t lose hope and most of all, stay home.
